These pictures are of work which I performed as Sublet Fabrication work with another shop

This is an E46 M3 Sprint car which I spent many hours performing fabrication work on, Subletting Jak Stoll Performances skill to another shop out of town. I made templates of openings, transferred the shapes to Sheetmetal and fitted the the parts to the body, made a ton of custom brackets, built a rear enclosure for dry sump oil tank and other components in the trunk area of the car. I built many other things on this car and it was my pleasure to be a part of this amazing project .... here are a few of the things I did :-)

I fabricated many of the supporting brackets and chassis mounting tabs for the rear diffuser, engineered the foreword attachment of the diffuser to the flat bottom, built reinforcement to the chassis for the trunk lid mounting to carry the forces developed by the rear wing

Using template for the outline of these fender vents, transferred the shape to the fender and cut it out, laid out a pattern to drill and rivet the fender vents to the fenders after paint, installed vents with rivets

I designed, fabricated and installed this lightweight hood prop to support the carbon fiber hood

This is a custom chassis mounted dead pedal which I designed, fabricated and installed

these are the chassis mounted trunk lid supports I designed, fabricated and installed to support the downforce from the trunk mounted wing. structure was also added to the lower rear area of the opening for support

this is the enclosure I fabricated for the rear to enclose the components of the rear of the vehicle from the driver compartment. I made cardboard templates of the area, transferred the shapes to aluminum to create the panels, laid out staggered patterns for riveting the panels to the frame and assembled the enclosure

This is some of the Sheetmetal Fabrication I did at the rear of the front wheel openings... this area is opened up to allow air to move out of the chassis and be less of a parachute at high speeds. I made cardboard templates of the openings, transferred the shapes to Sheetmetal, hand formed the panels and installed them to the vehicle
